Jeff Lints Appointed CCO to Drive Adoption of Orbit Fab’s RAFTI® Refueling Port and In-Space Fuel Supply Services
Lafayette, Colorado – December 18, 2025 –
Orbit Fab, the leading provider of on-orbit refueling solutions, today announced the appointment of Jeff Lints as Chief Commercial Officer following key flight-qualification milestones and ahead of upcoming commercial refueling missions. A recognized leader in commercializing cutting-edge aerospace and defense technologies, Lints will oversee global commercial strategy, customer engagement, and partner integration for Orbit Fab’s RAFTI® refueling port and growing portfolio of in-space fuel-delivery services.
Lints will guide market adoption as satellite operators increasingly embrace refueling to enable greater maneuverability, extended mission life, and dynamic space operations. He will work closely with commercial and government partners as Orbit Fab transitions from development to large-scale production of refueling ports, depots, and fuel shuttles.
Orbit Fab recently completed flight qualification of GRIP, the company’s active docking and refueling technology designed for RAFTI-enabled spacecraft. GRIP will launch in Q4 2026 on the first commercial refueling demonstration mission, servicing the Tetra-5a and 5b vehicles for the U.S. Space Force. Orbit Fab is also progressing toward flight qualification of its first commercial fuel shuttle, scheduled to launch in early 2027. In parallel, government requirements for increased spacecraft maneuverability, enabled by on-orbit refueling, continue to expand across upcoming missions.
“As we intensify our focus on building the in-space fuel supply chain that will reshape the space industry, we are thrilled to welcome Jeff to the team,” said Daniel Faber, Chief Executive Officer at Orbit Fab. “Jeff brings deep expertise in taking new technologies to market, cultivating strategic customer relationships, and driving commercial growth across aerospace, defense, energy, and advanced manufacturing sectors. His insight and leadership are exactly what we need as demand for RAFTI and our refueling services accelerates.”
“Orbit Fab’s progress toward operational refueling missions in geosynchronous orbit is truly transformative,” said Jeff Lints, Chief Commercial Officer at Orbit Fab. “The need for maneuverable, refuelable spacecraft spans defense, government, and commercial markets, and Orbit Fab is uniquely positioned to deliver. Our teams in the U.S. and the U.K. are advancing RAFTI and docking systems for chemical, electric, and green propellants used across GEO, LEO, and VLEO missions. I’m honored to join Orbit Fab and help extend the company’s leadership in building the in-space fuel infrastructure the industry has been waiting for.”
As CCO, Lints will lead Orbit Fab’s business development and marketing organizations, strengthening partnerships worldwide and supporting refueling requirements across multiple active customer programs spanning national security, commercial, and civil space customers. The company is moving rapidly from technology development to delivering high-reliability flight hardware and fuel-delivery services that enable new mission architectures.
Prior to joining Orbit Fab, Lints served as Founder and CEO of Fortius Metals, Inc., where he commercialized advanced manufacturing technologies for the space and defense sectors using metal additive manufacturing and high-performance alloys. He previously held executive business development roles at venture-backed hardware and electronics companies serving energy markets. Lints holds an MBA from Cornell University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
Orbit Fab continues to expand with accelerated hiring, expansion of fuel-delivery and storage infrastructure, and large-scale integration of the RAFTI refueling port across multiple spacecraft platforms. Orbit Fab’s fuel shuttles and depots will empower satellite operators to deploy smaller, more capable spacecraft with greater agility and longer service life.
About Orbit Fab
Orbit Fab has the infrastructure to make it easy for any satellite to be refueled in orbit. With the first fuel depot already in orbit and four fuel delivery systems launching over the next two years, the company can deliver fuel to dozens of client satellites that are now equipped with the RAFTI® refueling interface. RAFTI can replace traditional satellite service valves for ground fueling, meaning no additional cost, weight, volume, or complexity for the client spacecraft. It is available under an open license and has become the de facto industry standard satellite refueling interface. Orbit Fab is headquartered in Colorado and also has facilities in the U.K. Learn more at www.orbitfab.com.
