Orbit Fab Appoints Meghan Allen to Lead Strategy and Government Affairs as Company Expands Defense Engagement

Appointment Comes as Orbit Fab Deepens Engagement with the U.S. Space Force, Space Command, and Congress

[Lafayette, CO — September 22, 2026 ]

Orbit Fab, the leader in in-space refueling infrastructure, today announced that Meghan Allen has joined the company to lead its engagement with U.S. government stakeholders, including defense, civil, and legislative partners. The appointment comes as Orbit Fab has been approved for use in Space Force missions following years of rigorous qualification with the military, continues to expand its defense engagement on the strength of major contracts and technical milestones, and works closely with the Department of War to advance its focus on sustained maneuver in space.

Meghan Allen Strengthens Government Engagement

Allen will lead Orbit Fab’s strategic growth across national security, policy, and government partnerships, driving the company’s expansion as it scales its role in supporting U.S. and allied space missions. Her leadership strengthens Orbit Fab’s ability to anticipate and align with evolving defense priorities, positioning the company for accelerated growth and broader adoption of in-space refueling capabilities across government markets.

A proven strategic leader in the space sector, Allen has built her career driving growth and shaping strategy at the highest levels of government and industry — most recently as Senior Vice President of Strategic Engagements for the Space Foundation, and previously as Vice President of Government Relations at both Sierra Space and Sierra Nevada Corporation, and Vice President of Washington Operations for United Space Alliance. Across each of these leadership roles, Allen has translated strategic vision into results, forging the government partnerships that have advanced critical national space priorities.

“The strategic need for orbital logistics has never been clearer,” said Meghan Allen. “Government leaders are increasingly recognizing that space superiority depends on sustained maneuver. Orbit Fab is uniquely positioned to deliver the refueling infrastructure that makes that capability possible.”

Military Demand for In-Orbit Refueling Accelerates

Orbit Fab’s momentum comes amid growing demand from U.S. military leaders for sustained maneuver and in-orbit logistics capabilities. Senior leaders across U.S. Space Command and the U.S. Space Force have repeatedly emphasized that refueling will be essential to future space operations, deterrence, and maneuver warfare.

Orbit Fab has engaged directly with more than a dozen senior military decision-makers spanning Space Force strategy, acquisition, Space Command warfighters, and the Defense Innovation Unit. The company has also expanded Congressional outreach across key Senate committees to help shape the future of national security space policy.

General Stephen N. Whiting, Commander of U.S. Space Command, recently stated, “A satellite which is locked in a predictable orbit is fighting from a fixed position, and it’s a target. A force that can maneuver and not be limited by the fuel it was launched with, and reposition as operationally needed, is the one that holds the initiative.”

“Sustained maneuver is the foundation of deterrence in space,” added Roger Teague, Orbit Fab Board Member and retired U.S. Air Force Major General. “Orbit Fab is building the logistics layer that gives the United States and its allies the ability to maneuver, adapt, and prevail in an increasingly contested domain.”
